Speed Skating
The Center State Speed Skating Club is committed to providing an opportunity for all members of the community to experience the Olympic sport of speed skating.
We will provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for our members.
Interested individuals may skate the first time free of charge and can rent skates from the IcePlex.
We welcome drop in skaters from other clubs at any of your scheduled ice times.
The club was established in 2004 and is coached by Kathy Same and Jenn Barber, both certified US Speedskating Coaches with national level skating experience.
We work with skaters of all ages and abilities; recreational, fitness or competitive skaters are all welcome.
We focus first on safety, fun and health.
The Center State Speed Skating Club is a member of the Northern New York Skating Association of United States Speedskating.
